Sir Ian McKellen is so cute - he said he brought his Christmas cards down here with him so he could put Gandalf stamps on them before mailing them out - how cool is that?
Also, check out the pics of Elijah Wood and Billy Boyd on this page. This is exactly how you look after flying down here - bad hair and shiny skin.
Here's a pic of the Fell Beast that is on top of the Embassy and Readings cinemas this year. I will try to get into town and take better pictures of them some time in the near future.

What would you do if you had so much money you could actually make a difference in the world?
I would start up free birth control clinics all over the world, and make sure people are being given factual information about their options. Not any lies like this or this. These lies make me very angry, and if I could do anything to fight back, I would.

OK, what is the deal with these TV shows where someone is hard at working cooking a meal, then the characters sit down to eat, then they get up, leaving a whole plate of food sitting there? Have you ever done that in real life? Not me! I tried to leave a few green beans back in the day, but Mom would have none of that - that's one of the great things about being an adult, isn't it, you don't have to eat the green beans if you don't want?
I bought some strawberries today, and I actually said "UUUUMMMMM!" out loud when I picked them up because they smelled so good. They really did.

So I was checking out the town where my friend Kristian grew up, and I thought it was just lovely, and so I decided to look for pics of Grand Prairie so I could show him where I grew up, and I found the Official Website of the City of Grand Prairie and was checking out the photo gallery and what is the second picture I see? Roadworks crew. I'm not sure what this picture is promoting - that there is constant roadworks going on? That roadworks crews are features in the city of GP? Any other ideas?

Anybody else getting old? Gray hair - mine is coming in pretty slow, so I don't really mind - hopefully it will give my hair more body. Mind going - I can't even remember some people I went to school with or worked with, and that's just not like me. Various aches and pains for no good reason. And here's the clincher - I am practically asleep at 10:30 at night, and up with the birds before 6:00am!!!! What's up with that?!? Pretty soon I'll be eating dinner at 5:00 and yelling at kids to stay off my lawn. At least my politics, ideas and opinions are still pretty liberal - in fact, probably getting more so! And damn it if I don't love that new Outkast song "Hey Ya!" and it's video. Anyone else have any growing older gripes or complaints?

If America is the Land of the Free, then why can't we travel wherever we want? One of the places I'm talking about is Cuba, and Kay Bailey is on the conference committee that will decide the fate of the measure to lift the travel ban to Cuba.
