I'll Go Mine

Tea For Two

Two more taste sensations: chai and baklava - heaven!

What's That Bug? - I swear, the most useful site on the web.

SheSource.org

A bit of a laugh - unless you support ID

There was something else I was going to say, but I can't remember it now, and I'm tired. Just talk amongst yourselves.

Strawberry Fare Forever

Movie: American Splendor, Citizen Ruth

Cats in Sinks - you heard me.

My team at work went to Strawberry Fare tonight. It was good. One of my co-workers loaded up on bread, then couldn't finish her salad or dessert. I told her she needed to do a little more training and go back. I had the peach schnapps cocktail, pasta special, and the warm raspberry drenched chocolate cake - oh yes, it was fantastic.

Walk On By

Poverty Fighters

Idealist.org

Sigh - when I first bookmarked this article, the title was "Bush to again tie Iraq fight to war on terror" - now look what it is. What's up with that? I think that is "inappropriate".

OK, here's two people I never would have put together, but there you go. Interesting to see if it's the truth.

Oops, just found this via the Beeb - guess it's not true.

Sunny Day, Chasing The Clouds Away

Movie: Bringing Out The Dead

Man, I cannot wait until summer. It was sunny here today, but still just a little too cool for my liking. I'm ready to sweat.

As I catch up with all my web reading on the weekend, I always have lots of links:

12 Ways Libraries are Good for the Country - I had to read this for my course, and liked it so much I wanted everyone else to read it too - I especially like "Libraries Offend Everyone"

100 Milestone Documents

Hypocrites and Liars

Bush science is dangerous slope - a Native American perspective - interesting

Biking Toward Nowhere

My weekend is coming to a close - y'all enjoy the rest of yours

New Sensation

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENNIS!

and

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF!

OK, I'm sure INXS Rockstar is further ahead in the States than it is here, and I have only watched part of it once, but does anyone else think Kirk Pengilly's facial hair looks drawn on with magic marker? I mean, I'm all for people expressing themselves, but I just kind of went "wha?" when I saw it.

More bus fun - while riding on the bus yesterday morning, we passed a guy bending over, and his crack was totally hanging out. I was sitting on the far side of the bus, so couldn't see if he was really picking something up, or if it was a set up. I think it was too early in the morning for that, but it still made me smile, and I wished the bus driver had honked - that would have made my day.

I'm Afraid You're Just Too Darn Loud

Movie: Mystic River

Feminist Majority Foundation

I just got my hair cut again Saturday, and I have to say that I think it looks better right when I get out of bed than after I have washed it and blown it dry. Let's hear it for bedhead!

Has anyone else noticed that the older they get, the more annoying every single sound becomes? Or is it just me?

Two Doors Down

I went through a door shaped like a key hole today. It was fun.

When was the last time you went through a door not shaped like a door?

(Sorry for this lame post, but I am really tired).

Go Cindy Sheehan - Bush DOES need to answer why her son died.

Raise Your Hand If You're Sure

You can be sure that if Bush "hails" this new energy law, we're all gonna get screwed.

Meanwhile, I'm riding the bus and hanging my clothes out to dry because I can't afford not to. How about you?

Don't You Remember You Told Me You Loved Me Baby

We got to see the Space Shuttle going across the sky tonight - it was just like a bright little star flying quickly by. Simon saw the ISS too, but I missed that - stupid bad eyesight.

At the time, it was supposed to land in a couple of hours, and it was pretty mind blowing to think about that - what I was looking at so far up in the sky would be back on earth in a couple of hours.

I've mentioned it before, but I'll do it again, Heavens-Above! is a really cool site you can use to see where satellites and stuff are going to be in the sky where you live. And Starry Night is another program we use to see what's going on in the night sky. I highly recommend both.

Movie: Help! I'm A Fish

Pepperoni Pizza

Robust and dominant.
When you go for something, you go full force.
You tend to take control of situations easily.
And in return, you get a ton of respect.
What's Your Pizza Personality?

Don't Look Back

So, Bush thinks people like al-Zawahri have an idealogy that is "dark, dim, backwards", yet he thinks intelligent design should be taught in schools? You tell me who's idealogy is "dark, dim, backwards."

Methinks this is just a ploy - what is Bush trying to take the heat away from? I doubt he really cares what kids are taught.

Robin Recommends The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. It's a great read.

Watch Me As I Gravitate

Movie: The Cooler

It's frickin cold here and what do I do? Watch a movie called The Cooler. Not good. I mean, the weather, not the movie, the movie was good.

Don't you hate riding on public transport on a bus or train where they have seats facing each other, but you don't know the person facing you, so you have to try to ignore them or talk to them or something the whole trip? Yeah, me too. And when they pull out some string and start playing with it, and then put it in their mouth, what are you supposed to do then? Maybe then it's time for a new seat.
