Me, I'm sick of this violence. It doesn't solve anything, and it leaves so much pain and loss in its wake.
Are we no better than that?

Look guys (and gals), no women (or at least me and the German chancellor) like the old "neck-shoulder" massage. Why? Because most of the time you don't know what you're doing back there, and it hurts rather than feels good. Just say no.
When are females going to stop being treated as chattel?
I find this unbelievable, seeing as how practically that whole area was left to die - who's being charged for that?
I'm sick, so I'm allowed to be especially grumpy. Bah!

Today is our six year anniversary. Evidently it's the "candy" anniversary - maybe I will get a gift this year!
Sorry I haven't posted much this week, haven't been on the computer too much for some reason.
I got e-mails from both my senators in the past couple of weeks, and neither one of them represent my views - what a drag.

I'm sitting here in my house alone, the sun is shining, it is quiet, and very nice.
It rained very heavily for four days this week - heavy enough to be really annoying, causing slips and flooding around the area, but not heavily enough to keep me from going to work. Which has been fun because of a strike by the people who repair the tracks. They have been running to a weekend schedule, with just a few extra trains for rush hour - not good. I've had to get up earlier and get home at about the same time at night. Thankfully they have come to some kind of agreement and the trains will be running normally tomorrow.
Then yesterday we had Simon's family over for birthdays (it was Simon's and his Dad's yesterday, but several other people have birthdays in July also) and that was stressful as everyone turned up - I really don't expect the teenagers to show - I mean it was Saturday night and all, but they all came, and brought their boyfriends with them. We didn't have enough chairs, and I would not have had enough food except people brought some - I'm just not used to cooking or planning for big crowds. I made chili in the slow cooker, cornbread, which turned out very flat, not sure what I did wrong, but it tasted OK, and chocolate gooey butter cookies, which were a big hit and very easy to make - however, if you have a crap mixer like I do, use a food processor or borrow someone elses's, as it will take a while for that cream cheese and butter to smooth out.
Now everyone is gone, Simon is out flying, and I get to do nothing but laundry and enjoy the day.
I know there are lots of stressful things going on in the world, but sometimes my little world gets stressful too. Thanks for letting me bitch.

Well, we got the solar water heater installed. We now also have high pressure water, which is really nice because, let's face it, our shower experience leaves a lot to be desired (just ask Mom or KK). But now, there is instant, high pressure water, so no long waits for the water to heat up, and it gets the shampoo out of my hair super fast. Yes, it was expensive, but it will be worth it in the long run.
