Does this ever happen to you - you're driving along with the radio loud, and then think you hear your cell phone going off, but it's just the radio? What's up with all these songs now with beeps and stuff that sound just like a cell phone?

Friday I'm In Love

Ah, how great is it it's Friday?

I saw Osadia a couple of weeks ago on my lunch break - they were in Porirua as part of the NZ International Festival of the Arts. Anyhoo, this woman came into where I was working with her hair very tall and green and I think a bird in there somewhere and with her makeup all done to ask the parking wardens not to give her a ticket as she wanted to ride the train home so she didn't mess up her hair. She also was sad she had not eaten lunch before doing it as she had some really cool green glitter lipstick on that she didn't want to mess up.

My question is: how do they make money, and how come I can't think of anything like this to do where I get to travel around the world?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIN!

So we had our "fall back" time change last night, but instead of falling back one hour, Simon somehow changed the time on the alarm clock to two hours ahead - which meant when the alarm went off this morning at what we thought was 6:00am, it was really 4:00am. So we just went back to sleep. I had totally forgotten to change any clocks at all - good thing they don't do this on a Sunday night. Anyway, if anyone is keeping up, we are now six hours behind you, but the next day. Got it?

Also I got to talk to Jennie for a few minutes while she was drinking a beer on Friday after work, so that was nice.

You know, there is really nothing like a beer and some chips on a Friday afternoon at work - it really hits the spot. Y'all have a good weekend!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLAKE!

I actually got to tell an Irish person Happy St. Patrick's Day today. I work with a girl from Dublin.

What's your favorite Irish person, place or thing?

Sad news. One of our axolotls, Sweep, got a fungus and died today. Poor little thing hung in there for a while, but in the end it was just too much for him. They say that axolotls can't see anything, but Sweep always raised his little head whenever you put your head down to look at him. He was a good pet.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIA!

The Hidden Song Archive

Last night Simon was locking doors and turning off lights before going to bed, and he just happened to look out the kitchen window, and our stupid dog was OUTSIDE the fence! We don't even know how she got out there, and neither did she, obviously, as she couldn't get back in the same way. I swear, you've got to watch them every second, eh?

I Wear It Like A Tattoo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERRI!

We went and saw this exhibit today, not really to see the photos, but to get Simon's tattoos photographed, as the guy was photographing tattoos free. But he wasn't there yet when we went, and we waited for a while, then we got bored and left. The weather was way too nice to sit around inside waiting for someone to turn up. His photos were pretty cool, though, I liked the ones of people's tattoos, and he had some really small b&w pics of the southwestern US that were nice.

Hey look, fly here for less than $1000.00. And, one of the times available doesn't start until July, so you can save up the money. Come for my birthday! Come on!

Beggin' You To Touch And Go

I heard "Danger Zone" on the radio coming home from work today, which leads me to today's question: Favorite Tom Cruise movie? I would have to say mine is Rain Man. But his cameo in Austin Powers in Goldmember made me laugh out loud.

Oh I Wish I Was An Oscar Mayer Weiner

OK, here are my thoughts on the Oscars - for no one really but me.

I was laughing when Billy Crystal said in the intro "I can't believe the Yankees got A-Rod!"

Catherine-Zeta Jones - too thin. Eat more carbs!

That Sounds of Oscar thing was annoying and unnecessary.

Renee Zellweger looked fantastic.

Robin Williams and Liv Tyler - cool specs.

What was Sting playing?

What a difference a year makes when it comes to the Best Documentary winner's comments about war, eh?

Great snarl on the chick who sang "Belleville Rendez-vous." I looked and looked but couldn't find out who it was and I couldn't hear who it was either.

"A Kiss At The End Of The Rainbow" was totally robbed. In fact, I think every song in Best Original Song category was robbed.

Tom Cruise - Wowee! Beautiful suit and tie. Hair, not so much.

Did you see the look on Naomi Watts' face when Adrian Brody used that breath freshener? It was like "If I win, no way in hell am I kissing you." Ha Ha

OK, that's all I got. What are your thoughts?
