Good Try But...

Robin thinks it is cool for people to protest free trade agreements with countries with not so stellar human rights records.

However, Robin does not think it is cool to graffiti your protest all over the bus shelter. That makes no sense at all, to make one world less nice while trying to make another one better. That accomplishes nothing.

Slow Posting

Hey, sorry for the almost non-existent posting. It is starting to get cold at night, and the last thing I want to do is sit in a cold room, when the fire is going in the other room. Plus, nothing much is going on and I haven't seen too much to post. I'll try to do better.

Stupid Day Off

So I take off one day, and then the rest of the week totally kicks my ass. And it's only Wednesday! I get on some kind of adrenaline high and bitch and whine, but I get lots of work done. At least I'm enjoying it and at least it's not an assignment or anything.

Four Day Weekend

So Friday was Anzac Day here and we had the day off, then I'm taking Monday off since I worked last Sunday so I have a four day weekend - whoo hoo!

Has This Ever Happened To You?

You are sitting there reading your paperback (which was published in this edition in 1976, and you bought at a used book sale). You get to page 96, then realize the next page is 161. So you kind of go through the book and realize page 161 goes to page 192, then the next page is 129. From there everything seems to be OK again. So you are totally missing pages 97-128, and have got doubled pages 129 - 161. WTF? Luckily you work at the library, and this author doesn't seem to be very popular so you can grab the library's copy to read the pages you are missing.

I don't understand why whoever bought this book didn't ring up the publisher to complain and get a correct copy, or at least throw it away so it wasn't put into a book sale later on when no one remembered about the missing pages.

Unfortunately I won't be passing this book on. It has done its time.
